Sea Mustard Soup with Clams(조개미역국)
Whenever I feel like something nutritious, plain and hot I usually make sea mustard soup with beef or seafood like this.
Ingredients
1 handful of dried sea mustard(at Korean shop)
seafood you like such as prawn, clams, mussels.
garlic (crushed)
salt for seasoning
Instruction
Soak the dried sea mustard in cold water until soft(about 30minutes). Wash the seafood and put them in a deep pot. Pour enough water to cover the seafood and bring to boil. Once the shells all open get all the seafood out and set aside. Pour out the stock to another pot with taking care of leaving any dirt in the pot. Pour in the stock in the pot and pour in enough water to double all the ingredients and bring to boil. Wash the sea mustard and drain. Cut it in bit size. Add in the soaked sea mustard in the stock and bring to boil. Once it boils season with salt and add crushed garlic and the cooked seafood. Cook another 10minutes.
Tips
- Don't worry about the dirt on the shell on the seafood while washing. You can get it off later as the dirt gets on the bottom of the pot after boiled.
